Property and Evidence

Our Property and Evidence unit is staffed with two techs and a supervisor. The Unit is responsible for the intake, management, control, and disposal of all property received by the Prescott Valley Police Department.


Releasing Property and Evidence

- Releases of all items will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY.

- Appointments are scheduled on the following days. We are closed on weekends and holidays.

Monday – 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

Tuesday – 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Wednesday- Closed

Thursday- Closed

Friday- 8:00 am to 11:30 am and 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm

- Identification/ownership MUST BE provided at the time of pick up to retrieve/claim the property.


Firearm Release

A Criminal History inquiry will be conducted to determine the prohibited status of the owner. Third-party individuals acting on behalf of the owner will also be the subject of a Criminal History inquiry to determine prohibited status. In the event where the owner and/or third party is found to be a prohibited possessor, Prescott Valley Police Department will retain possession of the firearm.
