“Big Mac” by local sculptor Connie Foss, is a welded metal depiction of a large bull. Traditionally, the bull is thought to symbolize stamina, hard work, strength, and sturdiness. The meaning of the bull historically in art relates to protecting its herd, especially the offspring. Above all else, the bull is a symbol of the complex nature of power. In 2021, “Big Mac” was relocated to this site outside of the Police Department. “Big Mac” now serves as a visual representation of the strength and dedication our Police Officers give to our community.
