Disc Golf
Prescott Valley boasts an 18-hole disc golf course, located at Santa Fe Station Park, which is open during regular park hours. Played much like traditional golf, disc golf uses a flying disc that is thrown from a “tee” pad toward an elevated metal basket located at the end of a fairway. This course is fun for beginners, yet still challenging for experienced disc golfers. Players are invited to bring their own discs and enjoy this course for free.

Disc Golf Basics
- Players must make their first throw starting from behind the front of the tee pad.
- Subsequent throws are played from behind the spot where the previous throw came to rest. This spot is known as the "lie."
- If your disc comes to rest in a tree or brush, the lie is the spot on the ground directly below or next to.
- A run-up and follow-through are allowed, but the player must release the disc before stepping past the lie.
- A "putt" is a throw from within 32.8 feet (10 meters) of the target.
- When putting, players may not step past the lie before establishing balance.
- The hole is complete when the disc comes to rest in the basket or chains. The hole is not completed if the disc is resting on the top of the target.
- If a throw goes out-of-bounds, play from either the last in-bounds location, with a 1-throw penalty, or retee, with a 1-throw penalty.
