Crime Prevention Officers
The Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) is a multi-faceted unit comprised of six highly trained professional Crime Prevention Officers (CPOs) who provide a wide variety of supporting services to the police department and community. Those services include coordinating community events, preparing social media and press releases, conducting pre-employment background investigations, taking police reports, conducting crime prevention surveys, and performing tasks which allow police officers to respond to public safety needs in the community.
